Love is in the (salty) air at the Jersey Shore

This Valentine’s Day at the Jersey Shore, you can find love all around…on the beach, in the Castle, on the Pier, and even at the Mill.

There’s nothing more romantic than a stroll on the beach…even at 40 degrees. You may want to take your honey to pick up some shells and bask in the cool air, or take a seat on a towel on the beach while watching the waves wash upon the jetty. And, once you’ve worked up an appetite…where to eat? When at the Jersey Shore, there are an immense amount of choices – so I’m going to help you out by giving you three.

If you’re on a bit of a budget – or you just crave their signature sliders – why not try White Castle? Fast food may not seem romantic, but Valentine’s Day at White Castle features tableside service and themed decorations. Enjoy a $10 Share-A-Meal or a specially-priced combo, and commit the moment to memory with a complimentary digital photo. This year you can invite your honey with White Castle’s Slidegram mobile app. So go ahead – make your reservation and indulge your cravings.

Does your idea of the perfect Valentine dinner include a backdrop of the waves rolling upon the beach? Try a romantic evening at an ocean view table at McLoone’s Pier House in Long Branch? Or, enjoy their Valentine’s Day package, which includes a 3-course dinner, a champagne split, and live entertainment upstairs in the Atlantic Room for $49.95/person. There’s a choice of McLoone’s Baked Brie, Chilled Shrimp Cocktail, or Jumbo Lump Crab Cake for an appetizer. Choose Chicken Saltimbocca, Cajun Mahi and Shrimp, or Filet Mignon for your entrée. And dessert includes Triple Cream Cheesecake or Chocolate Mousse Torte.

My final recommendation for Valentine’s Day at the Jersey Shore is a delicious meal at The Mill in Spring Lake Heights. The Mill is offering their full dinner menu in the main dining room and Sienna Café, starting at 4:00pm. Enjoy live romantic music from the Gina Fox Quartet, special pricing on champagne, Prosecco, and sparkling wines, and each lady will receive a red or pink rose. The lakeside view and ambience, along with thedelicious meals, offer a wonderful, romantic experience.

Wherever and however you decide to spend your Valentine’s Day, make it “hearty” one!
