Spring Lake and Sea Girt – Two Beautiful Desirable Beach Towns

Spring Lake and Sea Girt are two of the Jersey Shore’s most beautiful and desirable beach towns. So, how does one choose? Most of the people I have asked this question have very definite answers, but no definitive reason why…just a feeling.

Located right next to each other, with Spring Lake on the north side of Sea Girt, both are quaint, mostly residential seaside towns with rich histories. With a beach that spans approximately 2 miles, Spring Lake is about twice the size of Sea Girt. Spring Lake’s “Norman Rockwell” 3rd Avenue encompasses the perfect mix of small shops, restaurants, and cafes. Spring Lake has 2 large bathing pavilions with salt water pools and the Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club. Sea Girt has the Parker House and the famous Sea Girt Lighthouse. Both communities offer excellent school systems.

Let’s quickly compare some numbers and trends:

Spring Lake currently has 66 active listings (ranging from $709,000 – $8,999,999) and 15 under contract (ranging from $799,000 – $3,895,000). Sea Girt currently has 24 active listings (ranging from $599,900 – $4,995,000) and 13 under contract (ranging from $1,269,000 – $3,199,000).
