Spectacular new listing in Apple Ridge, Wall Township!

LB BoardwalkThe peaceful serenity of living near the water is a feeling like no other. The sounds, the air, the aroma. A mood change can occur with just one roll of the tide. A walk on the beachfront or along the river bed. It’s all about the water.

One of the greatest advantages of the Jersey Shore living is that one can choose to live closer to the river or closer to the ocean and still be in close proximity to the other. You want to dock your boat in your backyard, but your kids want to surf the ocean waves. The advantage at the Jersey Shore is that you can choose a riverfront home in Rumson and your kids can bike over the bridge to the beautiful beaches of Sea Bright. Or, choose a lagoon-front home in Brick and traverse over Route 35 to the beaches of Mantoloking. Purchase  a home near the beachfront in Manasquan, and dock your boat at Watson Creek.

You don’t have to plan. You can wake in the morning and decide whether it will be a day of water skiing on the Shark River, kayaking across the bay, or sunbathing on the beaches of the Atlantic. Whatever area you call home, the water – in all forms – is close at hand.

So, purchase a home at the Jersey Shore…and let the water be your guide.

McCleary Park Shark River

While the Jersey Shore is most known for its beaches and boardwalks, May is National Bike Month – the perfect time to talk about another great activity at the Jersey Shore: biking! It’s time to get some fresh air, exercise (it’s a natural mood booster!), and enjoy the scenery – whether it’s the ocean, the river, or the park.

The Jersey Shore is rife with paths that can take you from town to town. Some towns like Spring Lake and Sea Girt are designed in such a way that riding through the streets is easy. Other areas have paths to facilitate biking along the oceanfront from town to town. For instance, there are about 3 miles of wide path along Ocean Avenue in Sea Bright that take you right into Long Branch. Then, you can ride right along the promenade in Long Branch until you reach Pier Village.

This bicycle path not only provides beautiful scenery, but leads to a multitude of destinations. So, take a trip to the beach, to an ice cream store, to antique shopping at the Allenwood General Store – why take a car when you can enjoy a glorious bike ride in the fresh air?

And if you want a park-like setting and a water view at the same time, ride your bike to McCleary Park in Belmar and take in the breathtaking sights of Shark River.
